DRIVE Friday 23 September, 2011

Action. Intellect. The two colliding in a hollywood movie is something of a rarity. Prepare to be amazed by Nicholas Winding Refn’s Drive.

I’m not going to give away anything about plot.  If you want that stuff you’ll have to see the film.

What’s left then?  Well for starters this film is a sumptious treat for the eyes.  The score is very appropriate and very good.

This is a film that will not allow you to look away from any of the retina burning frames.  The slow but incessant build of pressure is suffocating at times but suffocating in a good way.

Ryan Gosling now surely has to be recognised as one of the top dogs in Hollywood.  This is another outstanding performance by him.

I could go on but the best way for you to understand what I mean is to watch the film.
